Tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live started off with some anger, as Kevin Owens made his way to the ring and claimed that he had nothing to do with Big E’s attack during last week’s episode. However, Owens did note that he was responsible for the constant chaos that both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were experiencing.

From there, Kingston came out and challenged Owens to a fight, saying that he would be fighting for Woods, himself, and Big E, all of whom had been harassed repeatedly by Owens throughout the weeks. From the start of the match, it was clear that both superstars had no desire to take it easy. Both Kingston and Owens went at it from the start, but it was Kingston who was able to pull away with a victory thanks to his typical high-flying ability.
After surviving multiple frog splashes from Owens and even nearly getting counted out of the ring, Kingston continued to withstand every attack in an effort to overcome. After throwing Owens into the rope, Kingston was able land a devastating Trouble in Paradise on Owens right as he turned around, knocking out Owens just long enough to claim a victory to start the night. With just a couple of days until his title defense at WWE Super ShowDown, Kingston showed why he has what it takes to win.
