Kevin Owens cuts a promo about people blaming him for attacking Xavier Woods and Big E, but the truth is he had nothing to do with it. Owens says Dolph Ziggler can thank him in person once Dolph beats Kofi, because he’s going to come knocking for a title match, and everything revolves around him. Kofi Kingston comes out and says KO is liar and he needs to stop, and Kofi is going to make him pay for everything he’s done so far.
Kevin Owens vs. Kofi Kingston
Owens pummels Kofi right at the bell and whips him out of the corner as we go into a break. We get back to see Owens mocking Kofi, telling him ‘they love you so much’ before screaming at him to quit. Kofi fights out of a headlock and knocks Owens out of the ring, then takes him down with a dive after launching himself over the ropes. Owens blocks SOS and goes for a Stunner, but Kofi counters that and hits SOS for two. Owens ends up whipping Kofi back out to the floor, then Kofi beats the ten count and kicks out at two after a frog splash.
Kofi fights Owens on the turnbuckles and throws some punches, but Owens headbutts him and follows through with a senton for two. Owens goes for a pop-up powerbomb, but Kofi counters with Trouble In Paradise for the win.
Winner – Kofi Kingston
Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan come to the ring for an in-ring promo, and Kayla Braxton says they wish to reiterate their mission statement. Bryan says the WWE’s tag team division is a joke, then Rowan tells a knock-knock joke about the situation before Bryan says they aren’t a joke. Bryan says they have ambition and purpose, and they will go down as the best champion ever while saving the planet. Bryan says the fans wasted their Memorial Day weekend by eating the flesh of beautiful animals, and Oklahoma is worse than anyone else due to their practice of fracking and drilling. He keeps ranting about earthquakes in the city, then yells ‘save the tag team division, save the planet.’ Kayla says there are some teams that would like to challenge them, then Heavy Machinery comes to the ring.
Tucker says Bryan and Rowan are a great team, but it’s time for them to get down to some solid, blue collar business, with Otis pointing at the titles. A referee runs to the ring, and Bryan accepts the challenge… but it’s just not happening here in the fracking state of Oklahoma. Bryan and Rowan walk away as Heavy Machinery continues to call them out.
