1ST MATCH: Taiji Ishimori (6 pts) vs. TAKA Michinoku (0 pts)
Solid opener, but rushed due to the packed nature of the card.
Need To Watch Rating: (5.0)
2ND MATCH: Bandido (2 pts) vs. Ren Narita (0 pts)
Another rushed, but gripping contest. Narita continues to show the fire of a much more mature wrestler.
Need To Watch Rating: (5.5)
3RD MATCH: Titan (2 pts) vs. Jonathan Gresham (0 pts)
An absolutely phenomenal clash of styles. Titan’s wings constantly getting clipped by Gresham is a sight to see.
Need To Watch Rating: (9.0)
4TH MATCH: Rocky Romero (2 pts) vs. YOH (2 pts)
Teacher faces student in a match that could’ve benefitted from another 5 minutes. Definitely can’t miss Romero’s run in this tournament.
Need To Watch Rating: (9.0)
5TH MATCH: Tiger Mask (4 pts) vs. Dragon Lee (4 pts)
A rushed, but fun match. Likely one of Tiger Mask’s best in the tournament, despite his knee injury seemingly disappearing.
Need To Watch Rating: (8.0)
6TH MATCH: BUSHI (0 pts) vs. Douki (2 pts)
Stream died for a majority of this match.
NO RATING
7TH MATCH: SHO (2 pts) vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru (0 pts)
This match is so much fun that I can’t really say anymore without spoiling it.
Need To Watch Rating: (7.0)
8TH MATCH: Ryusuke Taguchi (6 pts) vs. Robbie Eagles (4 pts)
A fun but (say it with me now) rushed match. Eagles is good but has yet to reach that second level that many in the tournament are on.
Need To Watch Rating: (7.9)
9TH MATCH: Marty Scurll (4 pts) vs. Shingo Takagi (6 pts)
You either love Scurll or you hate him, but EVERYONE likes Brody King.
Need To Watch Rating: (7.5)
MAIN EVENT: Will Ospreay (6 pts) vs. El Phantasmo (6 pts)
A great match, and far more of a brawl than I’m used to seeing from Ospreay. El Phantasmo is really good at taking guys out of their comfort zone, and he’s becoming a full-fledged star of NJPW very quickly.
Need To Watch Rating: (9.5)
