As the ongoing saga with Lio Rush continues to heat, Chris Jericho has taken to social media in an effort to speak his mind. In a tweet posted earlier this morning, Jericho talked about how disrespecting a veteran in the WWE is a taboo subject, and that the business is all about respect.
Key statement there is “if I was a big Star in the WWE”. You’re not, so u don’t know the respect and dedication you need to make it in WWE. I never once “made” a young guy carry my bags. But I was shown respect every day. To disrespect the vets in any way is taboo in our biz. https://t.co/GlFCIag9wE

Jericho also touched on how things like “making” younger wrestlers do things isn’t something that happens, but that you need proper dedication and respect in order to make it in the business. Needless to say, Jericho feels very strongly about the topic of backstage life in the WWE, and even though he’s no longer with the company, is still willing to defend it.
The Velveteen Dream also chimed into the scenario on Twitter, noting that the WWE was a business and a satirical sport, and that everyone involved was sacrificing themselves for personal gain.
