Val Venis recently took part in a brief interview with The Hannibal TV, where he discussed both Cody Rhodes and All Elite Wrestling.
According to Venis, he first became intrigued by the new wrestling promotion when he found out that both Rhodes brothers would be working it together, before going on to say that he isn’t sure what’s happening between AEW and WWE.
Despite that, Venis said that he’s enjoyed watching Cody Rhodes grow through this experience. “Watching Cody go from being a rookie in WWE, to then becoming a veteran in WWE, to then really taking his career to new heights on the independents after leaving WWE, and then becoming a promoter himself, it’s going to make for one hell of a life story,” he said. “I wish Cody all the best, he’s a smart dude.”
Vends continued to praise Rhodes, saying that he thinks Rhodes could be someone who gives Vince McMahon a run for his money in terms f promotion.
