We recently noted that AJ Styles suffered an injury during his WrestleMania 35 match against Randy Orton last Sunday. PWInsider noted that the injury was hip-related. “The Phenomenal One” reportedly suffered the injury while hitting Orton with a flying forearm to the outside of the ring. Styles was sent home early on Monday and has provided an update on his status while recently streaming PUBG on his Mixer account.
Styles revealed he has a sprained SI joint but believes he’ll be back to action fairly soon:
So, any breaking news that comes out for AJ Styles, I’ll let you know. I have a sprained SI joint, so that’s – when you do that, your muscles are there to protect, and when they protect you get all – you know, your hips get off sometimes and whatnot, and therefore you pinch nerve endings and you’re in a lot of pain. So, nothing too severe, just got to get those muscles to ease up and treat a sprain like a sprain. Hopefully, it doesn’t take too long to heal, I’ll be back in action soon. And you don’t know the degree of the sprain, so, just giving you guys an update.
