During the 2019 WrestleCon, legendary WWE superstar and Hall of Famer Tito Santana spoke to The Hannibal TV about his career, and what it was like to wrestle in the very first WrestleMania match.
When asked what he felt heading into the first WrestleMania, Santana revealed that he didn’t think much, not knowing what would come of the now legendary event. “Well, I never thought about how big professional wrestling was going to be become,” he said. “It turns out to be, probably the best match in my entire career. It was a very, very unbelievable moment that I will never live down. To see the way its grown, it keeps getting better and better.”
Later in the talk, Santana discussed how the WWE has grown to what it is today, and said that neither he or anyone in the company had any idea it could grow to be as big as it is. “We had no idea it was going to get this big, I don’t even think Vince McMahon knew or thought that it was going to get this big. I would have never thought that I’d still be doing shows from my career as a professional wrestler.”
