Prior to tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, the WWE took to Twitter to announce that Rey Mysterio has sustained an ankle injury as a result of his match last night, and will be unable to participate in his scheduled match with Andrade tonight.
According to Kayla Braxton, the injury came during last night’s Monday Night RAW, when Mysterio stood up for Kurt Angle against Baron Corbin. While the severity of the injury is unknown, Mysterio will reportedly be re-evaluated as we get closer to WrestleMania 35, where he is currently scheduled to take on Samoa Joe in a match for the WWE United States Championship.
