Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting via his “Wrestling Observer Radio” with Bryan Alvarez about the behind-the-scenes details regarding the opponent picking process for Kurt Angle’s farewell tour before his final farewell is slated to be Baron Corbin at WrestleMania.
According to Meltzer (online subscription required), Kurt has had his legitimate choices on who to face as he makes his way to MetLife, hence why fans are seeing Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio show up on WWE RAW. The only exception to his free will choosing? Baron Corbin. That opponent wasn’t for him to decide, reports Meltzer.
Kurt Angle will be continuing said tour tonight on SmackDown as he sets himself to face off against another former TNA foe in AJ Styles.
