At an AAW Wrestling event in Austin, Texas, Fenix was stretchered out of the ring after suffering an apparent injury. A fan at the show recounted the event, saying that Fenix hit a cutter-like move and started to clutch his head. The match shortly ended after the injury occurred. After the match, Fenix was stretchered out of the ring on a folding table and was taken to a local hospital. Videos did show Fenix moving around on his back.
Fenix just recently became IMPACT World Tag Team champs on the latest episode of IMPACT. He and his tag team partner, Pentagon Jr., were also just announced as a newly signed tag team to All Elite Wrestling on February 7th and are scheduled to wrestle at AEW’s ‘Double Or Nothing.’ As of now, there are no details on the extent of Fenix’s injury.
