The Rock At The Oscars?
The Rock says he was the Academy’s first choice to host this year’s Oscars, but it might have been a sly dig at his frequent co-star Kevin Hart.
The Rock posted the following response to a fan question about him potentially hosting the ceremony next year, saying his Jumanji shooting schedule prevented him from hosting the show this year. Hart, who is back for the sequel, was originally set to host the 91st annual awards show, but stepped down in December; this year’s ceremony will go on without a host.
Ah mahalo dude, I was their first choice to host this year, and my goal was to make it the most fun and entertaining Oscars ever. We all tried hard, but couldn’t make it work since I’m shooting Jumanji. Academy and I were super bummed but maybe one day down the road ? https://t.co/eiiMuBNOzb

I’d like to say Kevin Hart should call for a ‘truce’ with The Rock… but that didn’t work out so well for Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.
