The Co-Besties, Shane McMahon and The Miz, won the SmackDown Tag Team Champions at Royal Rumble against The Bar. The duo would celebrate their win on SmackDown Live, with Shane editing a video package in gratitude to his tag partner. Shane would also surprise Miz by inviting his father, George “Mr. Miz” Mizanin, to the ring. Mr. Mizanin would tell Miz how much he loves him and how proud he is. Miz would hug his father to the joy of the crowd.

Shane McMahon would then issue a 4-Way Elimination Number One Contender’s match to determine their next challengers for the tag titles. The match would include former champions The Bar, The Usos, The New Day, and relative newcomers Heavy Machinery. The team of Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight would have an impressive showing, eliminating The New Day. Jey Uso would be incapacitated by The Bar, leaving Heavy Machinery and The Bar in for a portion of the match.

Jimmy Uso would go at it alone, helping with the elimination of Heavy Machinery and immediately beating The Bar when his brother recovered. With their victory, The Usos will get a shot at Shane McMahon and The Miz at WWE Elimination Chamber.
