The first Monday Night RAW of 2019 got off to a chaotic start with Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley in a pull-apart brawl. Rollins would dive off the stage onto Lashley and Lio Rush as the rest of the RAW roster tries to keep them separated.

As the chaos ensued, John Cena‘s theme music rung out in the Amway Center as he returned to Monday Night RAW in the first time since March 26. Cena would announce he will enter into the 2019 Royal Rumble Match, looking to head back into the mountaintop.

In cues Drew McIntyre, who is hoping to add Cena to the list of greats he demolished since returning to the WWE. Cana felt that McIntyre was just like everyone else who has tried to dethrone the 16-time champion, but all were beaten. As the two were about to collide, Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley returned to the ring threatening to sue WWE because of Seth Rollins’ reckless attacks towards them. Rollins would return to brawl with Lashley, followed by Dean Ambrose to beat down on Rollins in the process. Cena would attempt to help, but McIntyre would add to the chaos. Finn Balor would run out to the ring to even the odds, leading to the 6-man tag to open RAW.

Cena would get worked over for a while until he tagged in Balor and Rollins for a super hot tag segment. Rollins would score a small victory over his former Shield brother in Ambrose, giving him another opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship.
