Taya Valkyrie defeated rival Tessa Blanchard to finally secure the IMPACT Knockouts Title at IMPACT Homecoming, following assistance from Gail Kim. Kim, who was the special guest referee, faced a number of confrontations with then-champion Blanchard, resulting in the IMPACT Hall of Famer to attack Tessa with her finisher, Eat Defeat. Taya would capitalize on a stunned Blanchard, and deliver the Road to Valhalla as she would pin the champ for victory. This marks the first Knockouts title reign for Valkyrie.
