PWInsider is reporting that the WWE Performance Center will be hosting tryouts later in the week that will feature at least four names participating in the event. One of the hopefuls is Joey Janela‘s “Bad Girl” Penelope Ford who not only played a role at All In, but wrestled NWA Women’ Champion Jazz at NWA’s 70th Anniversary Show in Nashville, TN. The names reported to partake in the tryouts are as follow (credit to PWInsider for wrestler list and summaries):
Eric Spicely – Former UFC Middleweight Fighter, 32 years old who has trained for pro wrestling and competed for Beyond Wrestling in New England.
Penelope Ford – “The Bad Girl”, 26 years old, is a regular in the Northeast independent wrestling scene known for working alongside Joey Janela. She recently challenged Jazz for the NWA Women’s title at the NWA 70 PPV and also worked the “All In” PPV several months ago.
Courtney Lemmings – Former High School volleyball player turned NPCC bodybuilding competitor from Colorado, model and actor, 22 years old.
Tehuti Miles – Former University of Maryland Football player, 28 years old, who has gone through the WWE tryout process previously at the Performance Center. Miles has been very vocal about his pursuit of a WWE deal in recent years.
The last class of wrestlers to get called up to the black and gold brand of NXT was full of marquee names such as Mae Young Classic’s Mia Yim, “The Hot Mess” Chelsea Green, ROH TV Champion Punishment Martinez and “The Super King Of Bros” Matt Riddle.
