Jim Ross Through With AXS TV Contract
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently announced via Twitter that he is wrapping up his tenure as the voice of NJPW on AXS TV. Ross has been doing commentary for NJPW on AXS TV since 2016, usually alongside former-UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett. Ross is likely to return to duties with WWE.
I’m reluctantly heading to #LAX this week for my final voiceover session with @AXSTV as these 3 shows will take us to the end of the year when my contract ends.
Thanks @Adamswift34 @dannyzack & the entire crew. ?

When reached for comment, AXS TV confirmed that JR was finishing up his contract and that they’d be making an announcement later in the week.
Cody Rhodes Still Set For Wrestle Kingdom 13
IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes recently injured his knee, trying to throw at-shirt to the crowd in Buffalo, NY. While originally thought to be much more serious, Cody revealed that it was a simple meniscus tear and will only require scoping. Cody’s mcl, pcl & acl are all structurally sound and he will likely not miss ROH Final Battle and NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 13.
GOOD news is my doctor is fairly confident that my mcl/pcl/acl are structurally sound.
BAD news is the meniscus is fairly damaged, gonna’ require a scope. No dates will be adjusted at the moment, and I’ll definitely still compete in the final battle main event & at WK. pic.twitter.com/PtyK1wpoiz
