WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle participated in a Facebook Q&A session and opened up about potential dream matches, as well as the success of All In.
Highlights appear below:
On The Success Of All In:
I think that overall it’s good for wrestling. I don’t consider it any type of detriment to WWE. It’s got some legs though. Could get even more popular.
On Shane McMahon’s World Cup Win:
Shane has proven himself to be a great sports entertainer. I would have preferred him to earn the World Cup Title by wrestling in the tournament though.
On Who He Would Like To Wrestle In NJPW:
Kenny Omega. He’s got talent. Love the guy. Never met him though.
On A Dream Match Between A Modern Day Pro Wrestler vs A Wrestler From The 80s/90s:
2014 Kurt Angle vs 1989 Ric Flair. Damn, I’d pay good money to see that. Lol.
On What’s Next For Him & Whether He’ll Return As GM:
I don’t know. I do want to wrestle more. I just started wrestling again so it’s going to take a few matches before I get the kinks out, especially being older now. I’m hoping I get a little bit more consistent wrestling in the future. Either way, I love contributing. We will see.
On Who He Would Like To Wrestle In NXT:
I met Velveteen Dream on an Indy circuit 4 or 5 years ago. I’m amazed at his progress. I’d love to have a match with him before I retire.
