As a result of their performances in their respective matches, Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe will join The Miz, Daniel Bryan, and Shane McMahon for SmackDown’s Survivor Series team.
Earlier in the evening, Shane McMahon named Daniel Bryan and The Miz co-captains, as the duo announced that Shane would be their first pick for the team. Bryan and Miz would debate on who else would join the team throughout the show, watching Rey Mysterio, Andrade Almas, Jeff Hardy, and Samoa Joe compete in singles matches with each other to determine their next picks.
Mysterio would defeat Almas and Joe would defeat Hardy, both earning their place onto the SmackDown Live team. Things would get tense immediately as Joe mocked Bryan and Bryan got in a physical altercation. Miz would try to break it up, but Bryan would attack him as well and hip toss Shane McMahon in a bout of fury. The team is already heading into a world of dysfunction heading into Survivor Series.
