For the go-home Monday Night Raw before WWE Super Show-Down, Dean Ambrose opened the show with an in-ring interview, teasing where his loyalties lie with The Shield.
After being manipulated by Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre last week, the WWE Universe was still unsure if Dean still wanted to be alongside his brothers. When ‘The Lunatic Fringe’ was adamant on staying with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, acting general manager Baron Corbin interrupted and gave Ambrose an ultimatum.
Ambrose was given the choice of facing Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship, Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship, or facing Braun Strowman. When Ambrose refused, Corbin decided he would face go up against the Monster Amongst Men in an impromptu match:
“The Shield is not a business. The Shield is not a brand. The Shield is a brotherhood.”
