#2.) Defeating The Revival
DiY were unsuccessful in their first NXT title shot against the Revival at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II. Their second attempt would be in a 2-out-of-3 falls match at NXT Takeover: Toronto, where it seemed like it would be DiY’s final shot at the title.
The match was tag team wrestling at its finest and the two teams pulled out all the stops in what many consider the best match of 2016. The crowd being on the edge for the entire match added to the drama and the eruption when The Revival members Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder submitted together was something that can still give you the chills. It was one of the best “feel-good” moments in NXT history and it truly felt deserved for DiY.
