#3.) John Cena vs The Rock: WrestleMania 28
Not all great matches are defined by technical prowess or the moves performed in the ring. It’s about the spectacle, the crowd and most importantly the story that’s told in between the ropes. John Cena is known as Big Match John for a reason, but perhaps no match was bigger in his WWE career than his WrestleMania 28 bout against The Rock.
It was the first WrestleMania main event to ever be announced a full year in advance. The hype was real, and despite it following two outstanding matches in Triple H vs Undertaker and CM Punk vs Chris Jericho, the crowd was hot and on its feet to witness what was dubbed as ‘Once In A Lifetime’. The fact that they wrestled again the next year is a different story altogether, but this match will go down as one of Cena’s most memorable ones thanks to the spectacle and audience.
