#3.) Hulk Hogan – 2002
Soon after Austin turned face again, Mr. McMahon injected WWE with a “lethal dose of poison”, which was basically the nWo. Hulk Hogan returned after 9 years, but this time, he was a heel along with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. While the angle itself was good, the problem stemmed from the fact that fans were overjoyed to see their childhood icon return after nearly a decade.
Even at WrestleMania X8, Hogan was basically the biggest babyface in the world, which made it apt that he turned face that very night. The reaction he received the following night on RAW can still give you goosebumps – proving that fans simply weren’t ready to boo Hogan.
