There’s a misconception that WrestleMania 2000 saw the first TLC match, while many believe that the iconic WrestleMania X7 TLC match was the first one. In fact, neither of them were the first. WrestleMania 2000 was a triangle ladder match, but it’s easy to understand why people get confused.
As for WrestleMania X7, that was only the second TLC match. The first-ever one happened at SummerSlam 2000, contested unsurprisingly between the three teams of The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian. It was an all-out war and the three teams delivered in a big way, with Edge & Christian coming out on top as they usually did.
