In hindsight, it’s almost impossible to imagine Batista vs Randy Orton as the main event of WrestleMania XXX. Daniel Bryan was forcibly interjected into the match after defeating Triple H in the opening bout to do so.
Entering the main event, he was broken and battered, but that was never going to stop him. It was the culmination of one of the most incredible storylines in WWE history and while the match isn’t a technical classic, it told a great story with the perfect ending. It was all about Daniel Bryan and his ascent to the wrestling mountain. He would beat Orton and Batista in an enthralling encounter, submitting Batista to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
