#1.) Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk – SummerSlam
Arguably Brock Lesnar’s best match since returning in 2012, his battle vs Punk was advertised as “The Best vs The Beast”. It began when Paul Heyman betrayed CM Punk just as he was about to win the MITB briefcase. The rivalry would lead to Heyman calling out his other client – Brock Lesnar to do his bidding.
The build to the feud was intense and the match was in a league of its own. It was a WrestleMania-caliber match and Punk brought the best out of Lesnar in a way that very few superstars have. Ultimately, Punk fell short in a frustrating effort, but the crowd gave him a standing ovation after the match.
