2013 saw John Cena receive one of many coronations as he defeated The Rock in his third consecutive WrestleMania main event. Cena already had quite a few coronations, having gone through legends like JBL, Triple H, Shawn Micheals and then The Rock at WrestleMania. Either way, it’s interesting to see in hindsight that they did give him the coronation because he would only have two more years on the top full-time before he transitioned into a part-time role.
2013 did see some very interesting storylines come about and more than anything, there were some incredible matches as well. You’ll notice a clear dominance of CM Punk on this list, as it was his final full year in WWE before he called it quits in early 2014 and walked out.
