#4.) Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels had one of the greatest careers in wrestling history. Considered the greatest in-ring performer of all time, Michaels’ career was divided into two phases – Pre-2000s and post-2000s after his return from retirement #1. He spent nearly eight years on his return, not really focusing on World Championship aspirations.

This run was to prove that he could still hang with the best and not only did he do that, but he proved that he could constantly improve the older that he got. The grand finale of his second run came in 2010 when he took on The Undertaker for a second time in one year in the main event of WrestleMania 26.

They stole the show like the previous year and The Undertaker defeated him handily to extend his streak. Michaels bid farewell to a roaring ovation by the WWE Universe. Though he returned 8 and a half years later for one match, he explicitly stated that he never intended to do so again.
