#5.) ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

It was WrestleMania XIX and The Rock and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin were set to conclude their incredible WrestleMania trilogy. Austin won on the first two occasions in the main event and The Rock, now a Hollywood star, looked to put away the one man that he was never able to. It was a fitting retirement because Austin faced his greatest-ever rival and put him over on his way out.

It was a big rub for The Rock and it was an emotional farewell for Austin. Austin had been dealing with medical issues for a long time, going as far as neglecting doctors’ advice to quit wrestling. Ultimately, he had to do what he did because he risked getting paralyzed for good.
