Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake was a man of many gimmicks. He may have found most success as The Barber, but the reality is that there were a lot of tried and tested gimmicks of his, most of which didn’t work out. Beefcake may not be fondly remembered in hindsight as he should, but he was one of the most over babyfaces for his time.

Perhaps his biggest strength was the fact that he was a versatile performer. If he was a heel, people would boo his guts, and if he was a babyface, then people would be completely behind him. While his association with Hulk Hogan definitely helped his position in WWF, it would be unfair to say that he didn’t hold his own.
