The 2001 edition of WrestleMania undoubtedly stands out as the greatest WrestleMania of all time, and the greatest PPV in WWE history. There’s simply no disputing it. It was the tail end of the Attitude Era, and The Rock and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin were at their heights of popularity. The main event saw them, the two biggest stars of the industry go at it in what was a blockbuster match.
It wasn’t just the main event that was great. It was practically every match on the card, whether it was TLC 1, The Undertaker vs Triple H, Shane McMahon vs Vince McMahon, Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit and all the others. Virtually every match delivered, making it the single greatest card in not just WrestleMania history, but WWE history.
