#4.) Kazuchika Okada vs Hiroshi Tanahashi – Wrestle Kingdom 9
The main event of Wrestle Kingdom 9 saw the upstart Kazuchika Okada take on the undisputed ace of NJPW in Hiroshi Tanahashi. Okada had a few wins over Tanahashi, taking the IWGP Heavyweight title from him, but two years prior, Tanahashi had proven to Okada in the main event of the very same show that he was still the king of the Tokyo Dome.
Okada won the 2014 G1 Climax and was set for a blockbuster clash with Tanahashi in the main event. Okada did everything in his power to win but Tanahashi proved that it was still experience that was most vital, as he overcame the aggression and onslaught of The Rainmaker to defeat him, proving once again why the Tokyo Dome was his yard. Okada left the ring in tears, but despite his downward slump afterwards, it proved to be a valuable lesson for bigger things in the future.
