#3.) Losing the WWE title
Jinder Mahal may not have come out on the winning end in Manchester, but that doesn’t make it any less great for him as a performer. He had been champion for around 170 days at the time and he found a new challenger in AJ Styles. They would have a WWE Championship match on SmackDown Live in the UK where Styles had to overcome the Singh Brothers to beat Jinder Mahal.
It was Mahal’s most incredible match at the time and he looked really good, even in defeat. It’s quite ironic to think that his best match as WWE Champion was his final one in the reign. However, it was a magical night and the crowd erupted as Styles hit the Phenomenal forearm and pinned Mahal to become the new champion.
It also marked the first time that the WWE title changed hands outside North America. It isn’t discrediting Mahal by saying that his greatest moment as WWE champion was the end of his reign, but he knew he was losing the title and gave it one last bang.
