In what many consider the greatest WrestleMania Women’s Match till that point (they would be topped exactly ten years later at WrestleMania 32), James and Stratus would put on an instant classic.
It would be the coronation of Mickie James after a shocking finish. It seemed like it was a major passing of the torch as Stratus would only stick around for a few years. Mickie James, meanwhile, would go on to collect multiple Women’s Championships across different promotions, making a big name for herself.
