Kofi Kingston is hopeful that WWE hosts a big meaty battle royal for its big meaty men.
Big E coined the term “big meaty men slappin’ meat.” More recently, The New Day appeared on WWE’s The Bump, and Big E proposed a “Big Meaty Men Invitational” at WrestleMania.
“Some sort of a Meaty Men Invitational. Imagine, the largest, most bulbous, most girthy men on the roster all gathering in one match to decide who is worthy of being crowned the meatiest man on God’s green Earth,” Big E explained. Imagine it. I think that is a worthy match for WrestleMania. We’ve got some powerhouses on the roster, too.”
WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with Kofi Kingston about the pitch for a “Big Meaty Men Invitational.” Kingston said he wouldn’t put himself in the lineup, noting how he recently bulked up but ended up cutting weight.
A lot of meat
“Oh, no. So, I actually tried to bulk up a little bit this year. I gained about 17 pounds, got to a point where, ‘Eh, no, no, no,’ and cut back down. If I’m in there, it ruins the legitimacy of the tournament. So what would probably happen is Big E would have to go around and approve every person that’s going to be in there,” Kofi explained.
“I’m okay with the fact that this is not the meat people are looking for. I’m skin and bones. This is a full sternum. No pec meat whatsoever. But you have a lot more meaty men that deserve to be in that tournament. Like you said, it may not happen at WrestleMania this year, but let’s build it,” Kofi added. “We’ve got a lot of meat out there between Otis over there. You have Oba Femi. You’ve got Omos, of course, Big E, Bronson Reed. So many meaty men, Ivar. A lot of meat on the roster right now. A lot of meat.”
The peach is always gonna be sweet
In the past, Kofi Kingston has declared he is a “peach daddy.” Kofi is proud of shaking his little peach, so wouldn’t having a juicier peach from bulking up be enough reason to keep on mass and enter the meaty match?
“The peach is always gonna be juicy regardless of if I’m bulked up or not. I’m always there; I’m doing my squats and my deadlifts, and I am here. I’m here to stay,” Kofi declared. “The peach isn’t going anywhere. The peach is always gonna be sweet whether we’re in Georgia or not. It’s always ‘Peachtree Street’ around here, if you know what I’m saying.”
