Bayley defeated Alexa Bliss
Bayley and Bliss face off on WWE RAW, with Alexa starting with a big slap. Bayley took her down, but Nia Jax came out to assist her friend. Bayley would hit an elbow from the top rope and Alexa had Nia distract Bayley. She connects with a big forearm and sends her back into the ring. Sasha comes out and attacks Nia Jax. Alexa is distracted and Bayley hits a Bayley to Belly Suplex for the win.
As much as the match was stop and go, it did what it needed to do. Bayley won for the second consecutive week and they are not trying to push her down everyone’s throats. This feels a little better of progression for her and the match scheduled for next week will determine who Alexa Bliss will face at SummerSlam. Let Bayley work her way back up, but we all know that Sasha and Alexa are still at the top of their game. With the other championship matches featuring more than one person, I am alright with Sasha vs. Alexa again in Brooklyn. I do not think this will happen and WWE will add additional women. Hell, I would love to see Dana or Emma get a legit shot.
Samson’s Shot on Finn Balor
The energy and adrenaline from Elias Samson and Finn Balor really showed on WWE RAW. Balor was in control offensively and was getting ready to deliver some kicks to Samson, until Samson grabs a guitar and blasts Balor over the head with it. It looked like he caught all of Balor, as his head began to bleed from his head. As Finn got to his feet, Bray Wyatt appeared on the screen and talked to Balor about his struggles and being able to help him. The same stuff Bray has said for months is basically relayed to Balor.
I wrote about it before WWE RAW yesterday and think I hit the nail right on the head. I want Bray vs. Balor, with Balor finally bringing back “The Demon King” persona. It works with a guy like Wyatt, who is always so cryptic and deranged. As much as Elias has impressed me, he is not ready for a big match at SummerSlam. Do not push him too hard or too fast where the fans immediately turn on him. (Cough, Ryback). With nothing else to do and both former champions, Finn and Bray could really benefit from working with each other. They have a knack of putting on matches that people remember and want to see again and again. Let this be the beginning of something good, not just a one time match.
