This Sunday is the first, and hopefully last, WWE Pay-Per-View called Great Balls of Fire. Live from Dallas, WWE RAW will give feuds that have been brewing, bosses who are trying to dethrone the goddess and a beast taking on a submission machine. Below are my predictions for WWE Great Balls of Fire.
The Hardy Boyz vs. Sheamus and Cesaro
A 30 Minute Iron Man Match for the RAW Tag Team Championships at WWE Great Balls of Fire is a match that I am excited to see because you know we are going to get plenty of time and development in the match. This has been a very consistent feud and one that spotlights two of the best tag teams out there. Sheamus and Cesaro need to stop saying the stupid bar quote, especially since they do not need to sound gimmicky or cliche to get over. They are already over and they have Matt and Jeff to continue to thank for their help.
Who do I see winning? I see it being a tie at 30 minutes and then going into overtime, with Matt and Jeff reclaiming the tag team championships. With SummerSlam approaching, you need your best and most profitable team carrying the straps heading into Brooklyn and The Hardy Boyz are that team. Also, it gives us another rematch between the two teams and potentially another 2-3 teams wanting to get involved in the madness that can be with these titles. Do not let the outcome of this match fool you, as long championship reigns for the tag titles only really benefited one team in recent memory. There is not a big need for a lengthy title reign at this moment.
WINNER: THE HARDY BOYZ
Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt
This match seems to be very forced. What are they even feuding about? Is Bray mad Seth is a face now? Is Seth going to turn towards his old ways? Why does Bray Wyatt even care? WWE finds themselves in a tough situation because I am not sure what either of these guys will be doing after Sunday. It feels more like a RAW main event than anything else and that is not a good thing. Seth and Bray have not DONE much to make this feud anything more than the previous 10 feuds from Wyatt. It has been similar to every dispute and storyline that Wyatt has had and his creativity is failing him. The winner of this match should be Seth Rollins. Why? WWE RAW needs more faces than heels at the moment and Seth could be the best face that they have. Give it 15 minutes and put it between a few big matches to make it actually enjoyable. Storyline is weak, but the match should be just fine.
WINNER: SETH ROLLINS
