The night revolved around Roman Reigns. With the announcement that he wants the Universal Champion at SummerSlam, it prompted Samoa Joe to come out and face The Big Dog. This would all lead to a great contest between both men and would be interrupted by an ambulance. Out comes Braun Strowman, to a monster pop from the crowd. Samoa Joe chokes out Reigns and Strowman makes his way to the ring. He says he is not finished with Roman and challenges him to an Ambulance Match at Great Balls of Fire.

From the opening promo to the match and then finishing off with the return of Braun Strowman, this is something that WWE RAW has been missing for the past few months. You got such a great story from multiple guys, main event guys, carrying you through two hours of programming. You wanted to hear Reigns and wanted to see him fight Joe. We all hoped Braun would be back and his return was excellent. The creative team let these three guys run a solid 35 minutes of the show really spotlighting why they should be the ones main eventing Pay-Per-Views. I am shocked to hear the crazed reaction when Braun came out of the ambulance. It was just so attitude era feel and gives you more reason to believe that this guy can be a mega star.

Welcome back, Braun and all hands on deck to potentially make these guys the focal point of an unpredictable Summer of 2017.

The Hardy Boyz defeated Gallows and Anderson

Two former RAW Tag Team Champions did battle in a really good contest on WWE RAW. Surprisingly enough, Jeff Hardy was the guy who took most of the beating. Jeff had to take out both men with Whisper in the Wind and Matt made good on the opportunity after receiving the tag. He would be planted with the Boot of Doom, but was able to kick out and connect with a Twist of Fate on Gallows.Jeff hit a Swanton Bomb to pick up the win and look forward to another bout with their rivals in Cesaro and Sheamus.

Another good tag team match from Matt and Jeff. The switch of roles made it feel fresh, even though it seems like this match has taken place over and over again. The Hardy’s are in cruise control and their nostalgia is holding them afloat. I like both teams and the match was solid, but it was just a match. There was nothing more to it or more to look forward to. If this is how they book Gallows and Anderson, why in the hell were they not moved to Smackdown Live? Why are they not teaming with a Good Brother in Finn Balor? There is so much untapped potential for these guys.
