Randy Orton Keeps It Simple
The Viper comes out and talks about beating the best, including Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. He goes on to talk about his father and his grandfather, teaching him that he does not need to talk and needs to fight. He says winning is his only option at Money in the Bank. Jinder Mahal appears on the screen and tells him that the era of the Modern Day Maharaja has begun and that nobody respects of appreciates him. He says he will beat Orton at Money in the Bank once again.
I liked the simplicity from Randy Orton. As someone who has accomplished so much in WWE, his mic skills have always been solid, but not stellar. He tapped into his lineage and goes on to talk about how he is born into this. He did not need to boast too much because his resume speaks for itself, but a brief reminder never hurts. Do I think Randy Orton wins another championship in his hometown of St. Louis? Yes, I think that title change happens and needs to so Randy Orton defends the title at SummerSlam against a much bigger name. Look at their WWE World Championship match at SummerSlam last year. What a mess Dean vs. Dolph ended up being.
Breezango vs. The Colons
Fashion Files took over a solid and entertaining 4 minutes before we were able to see them compete in a tag team match. With The New Day on Smackdown Live, I wondered if Breezango would actually get television time this week. They did and their development showed me exactly what is wrong with WWE RAW.
These guys are getting time and consecutive weeks of developing their gimmick, with a combination of backstage segments and in-ring action. With RAW being 75 minutes longer, how are they not doing the same with some other talent? We are essentially getting the same matches and storylines on Monday, while Tuesday nights have less time but oddly enough more character development. I am entertained by these guys and they continue to make their gimmick original and unique.
