*Isenberg Reacts will be a special feature on The New Day and their historic WWE Tag Team Championship reign.*
479 days. A record is broken at midnight tonight, as The New Day will become the longest reigning tag team champions in WWE history. With two victories in two separate Triple Threat Matches, Xavier, Kofi and Big E continue to prove that hard work and dedication to their craft pays off. Booty O’s, Big E grinding and their entrance was not something that was an instant success. In fact, it was deemed to be a miserable failure. How did it all change? This article is going to take a look back at the past two years of The New Day.
Beginning on November 3rd, 2014 when the first promo of The New Day aired. A church choir was singing and everyone was clapping about the New Day. Everyone meaning in the video, but the live crowd did not get it. They did not care and had ZERO interest in seeing these three. WWE continued to go ahead with the videos, which aired for another three weeks. The debut finally happened on Smackdown, but crickets echoed in the arena. That would be the case for the next 3-4 months, until the crickets turned into “New Day Sucks” chants. As WrestleMania 31 season came about, nobody cared about these three men. It would be a heel turn on the night after WrestleMania that would ultimately propel these guys in the right direction.
A turn on The Lucha Dragons sent The New Day in one direction and everyone else in another.
