10 Versus Glorious
You can make an argument that Bobby Roode does not NEED to win this match, right? Tye Dillinger’s stock would shoot all the way up if he was somehow able to beat Bobby Roode at NXT Takeover: Toronto. As much as I say this and as much as I love Dillinger’s gimmick (I was the genius who wanted him drafted to Smackdown Live), there is no chance that Tye defeats Bobby Roode on Saturday night.
Maybe “no chance” is too harsh, but Bobby Roode has been a guy in NXT that immediately draws importance. His appearance and gimmick has captivated every audience and, as much as he tries, he is still going to be cheered. His home crowd will be split between him and fellow Canadian, but Bobby Roode will be victorious. The better question will be this: Will Tye Dillinger step up and have his best match in NXT? Yes, I think he will. These guys have similar offensive styles, similar builds and attack their prey in a smart and manipulative way. I think they will have great chemistry and play off of the crowd to make this one of the better matches of the night. I do not know if there will be a more exciting moment than both men in the ring and the Canadian crowd going crazy. It should be fun to watch, even if the match is not a Perfect Ten.
This match is a stepping stone to Bobby Roode chasing the NXT Championship come WrestleMania season.
