Neville Wins, Gallows and Anderson Head To SummerSlam
In two very quick and ineffective matches, Neville picks up a victory after two great “splash” moves on Jinder Mahal. Following this, Anderson and Gallows made easy work of Golden Truth on RAW. Both matches lacked time and development, which is something that seems to be a problem for WWE recently. I am so used to seeing long and dramatic matches, especially from Gallows and Anderson in NJPW, where this style is really different. I wish, with a four hour SummerSlam, that the WWE Tag Team Championship match will give us AT LEAST 15 minutes of time. I think they need this, especially since they have been very reversed in showing the WWE Universe a full developed and intriguing contest from this specific tag team. They are so good at being heels, but the time is now to showcase how good they are inside the ring.
WWE Women’s Championship
Another phoned in segment on Raw featured Charlotte and Alicia Fox doing battle. The number one contender picks up an easy win after hitting Natural Selection. Out of all of the championship matches, this one has the most “personal” feel. We had such a dominant reign from Charlotte shocking cut short, but a good shocking.
Do I think she reclaims the championship? No, but I do think this is not going to end at SummerSlam. How will WWE book this match to make both women look stronger coming out Monday morning? That is the question that lingers in my mind. Also, did Charlotte get enhancements? Another question for another discussion.
