Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Retirement, Heel Turn and Brock Lesnar”

After a long cheer and chants from the crowd in Seattle, Daniel Bryan began to talk to close WWE Raw tonight. Bryan talks about this feeling that has overcome him tonight when he closed his eyes. He talked about cutting his hair and his beard, cracking a joke to the fans. He plugs Wigs For Kids and then gets down to the real stuff.

He talks about his concussions and how he has loved wrestling more than anything. He says that as of a week and a half ago, his brain is not as okay as he thought it was. He talks about how he needs to think about his family and having children soon. He then announces his retirement and says after all of his emotions, he feels nothing but gratitude.

Bryan then tells stories of things that he loves, and says that he is grateful for wrestling, and the show ends with an enormous “Yes! Chant.”

A fitting way to end WWE Raw.Daniel Bryan truly spoke from the heart and will be greatly missed inside the squared circle. We all were hoping and praying that this was a work, but we realized throughout the night that it was nothing more than a real life issue and drama from one of WWE’s most entertaining guys over the past 10 years. What Daniel Bryan said, how he said it and how RAW ended was perfect. The crowd gave him all of the support and he deserved every second of our love and respect. So long, Daniel.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
