Fresh Start on Raw
WWE Raw did not start with a 10-15 minute promo. It did not start with Seth Rollins or John Cena. The Wyatt Family came out, spoke quickly and were interrupted by Roman Reigns. He and Bray Wyatt began to brawl fighting in and out of the ring. Harper and Braun got involved, but Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton came out to help. They fought off the three men, stood in the ring and celebrated.
This was a new and fresh way to kick off Raw. I cannot remember the last time Wyatt Family kicked off the show. The fighting was fun to watch because it felt organic and personal.
They continue the feud and add Orton back into the mix after a few weeks off. I do not think there is much length to it, but at least they gave us something different to kick off Raw. Do we want to see this? There is really nobody else to fight off with the Wyatt Family.
Neville and The Lucha Dragons Defeated The Astro Alliance
Stardust and The Ascension get a new name and get a rematch. The match was controlled by The Ascension, grounding Neville and not letting him tag in to his teammates. He finally goes to Kalisto, who unloads very quickly. He hits a few kicks and then flips to the outside. Sin Cara hits a suicide dive, Neville connects with a cross body and Kalisto hits some kicks and his finisher for the win.
What is the point of their match last night? Does it matter who wins in this feud? I would love to see them put more stock in building the heels here. Neville is already stereotyped and The Lucha Dragons could get a title shot down the road. They just seem irrelevant right now, while Stardust and The Ascension have much more potential right now.
