Summer Rae Apologizes To Rusev
Summer Rae comes out and wants to apologize to Rusev. She calls him her beacon of hope and a lighthouse to guide her through troubled waters. She shows her photos from a muscle magazine. She feels terrible and begins to get upset and tries to apologizes to him. She begins to talk about seeing his body and says she was so weak. She starts to yell she is sorry and he stops her from crying. He says “you betrayed me, but I accept your apology.”
He says it is Dolph Ziggler’s fault and fed her all of these American lies. He says all that is going on are lies. He said he would never, ever cheat on her and make her feel this way. Out comes Ziggler and he talks about Lana last night. He says he is not lying and nobody is buying into this. She says to give Rusev a message and he kicks Rusev in the face.
I am not understanding why there is so much time given to this feud, but at least they are giving them so much importance and so much back story. I do like the depth, the details and even relying on history to enhance this feud. I am going to say that everyone involved are doing things that they have not succeeded with in the past. Good work all around, even though I am not sure WHY we are supposed to care. It is really a good thing to see them make a mid card feud SEEM important.
Sheamus vs. Randy Orton
Another match between the two guys begs this question: should WWE split the brands again? I know this is random and very unlikely, but when there was a split between shows we had fresh content. Do we want to continually see Sheamus vs. Orton? Cena vs. Kane or Big Show? One thing that WWE does not get is that main event matches on Pay-Per-View are usually seen on Raw or Smackdown.
I am not completely for this idea, but maybe this is a portion of why people want to see NXT more. They are not being saturated with talent for years. This has nothing to do with the actual abilities of each guy, especially since I like how both operate and wrestling in a technical and strong fashion. With so much talent on the roster, why do we get the same matches over and over and over and over and… get it?
