Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “How Do You Like Your Sting?”

Paige vs. Sasha Banks

wwe rawPaige grabs her hair and begins to toss her around the ring, upset from last week still. She catches her leg and then hits elbows on her face. Raw heads to a commercial break. Theis press and Paige continues the offense back from break.

Sasha begins to work over Paige and kicks her in the face a few times. She hits a knee in the corner and gets a two count. Tamina gets a cheap shot in and Sasha continues on the attack. Both women head to the top rope, but Banks trips her up and Paige lands hard off the ropes. Paige picks up the pace with a smooth knee and kick combination. Paige tries to hit Rampaige and Sasha rolls to the outside. Paige hits a rolling senton, taking out Tamina. Banks throws her head into the mat and then Paige hits a nice German Suplex. Sasha gets a slight distraction and rolls up Paige for the win.

Nice match with some good back and forth for both women. Paige came out hot towards the end of the match with some nice kick and knee combination. This is her bread basket, something that she succeeds with each week. Sasha did a few nice offensive moves, including spilling Paige from the top.

I am a fan of both women and the finish did not completely hurt Paige. If anything, it makes her more frustrated and aggressive. Build that anger and intensity up for Paige for future use.

Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns vs. The Ascension

Konnor and Ambrose kick things off, with Dean hitting a clothesline and an elbow drop. Reigns comes in and hits a big clothesline. Viktor tags in and kicks him in the corner a few times. Roman reverses a clothesline into a Samoan Drop. He gets tossed to the outside, but Reigns fires a few punches to both men. Ambrose hits a Suicide Dive and Reigns hits a drive-by and then lifts him up for a back drop. He hits 10 corner clotheslines and a Superman Punch.

Dean gets the tag and they connect with a Doomsday Device, while Reigns spears Konnor. Dean wins with Dirty Deeds.

Predictable. Simple, yet somewhat entertaining. You basically needed to see them mesh well together and get some quick offense. It was not excellent, but the ending was pretty good. Braun says it is okay to be afraid and he is their destruction. Bray says take this as a warning, while Luke says run. What this did was continue a feud with a very simple way. I hate segments this close to a PPV match and not have the counterparts shown.

When The Wyatt’s attacked Orton (later in the night) it was obviously because he was chatting with Reigns and Ambrose about being their partner. Smart. Keep it logical and do not overthink something that can be so naturally good and intriguing like these three men.
