Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker
I get it. I get the finish 100 percent. Just because I understand does not mean I agree with it. The decision to have Undertaker tap out, but the referee not see it only for the bell to ring and The Undertaker getting a low blow before making Lesnar taps out does a few things.
- It makes Brock Lesnar look like a warrior, flipping him off and having to literally pass out to lose.
- It preserves both guy and makes a third match possible. It also is not a clear loss and controversy reigns surpreme in big matches like this.
- It can also give the fans the idea that The Undertaker is BACK.
Here are the issues. This match was SO MUCH BETTER than the WrestleMania XXX encounter, but what match will everyone remember more? Also, The pacing was stellar from beginning to end, but could they do it a third time?
I really liked the fighting, back and forth and intense. Undertaker looked stronger, healthier and more agile. He was able to take the suplexes much better. The laugh face-to-face was perfect and both men knew they had to deliver. Personally, I do not want to see a third, but that is what is going to happen. Brock Lesnar should have gone over and Undertaker could say there is nothing left for him to do…. Cue Sting. Or, The Undertaker conquers the conquerer and says he has nothing left to prove. Cue…Sting. Either way, I think we need to see Sting vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32.
