Closing Time…
“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
I would like to thank each and every person reading this column, as well as anyone who has ever read anything I’ve written over the past 4.6 years, for all of the love, support, and constructive criticism you have shown me during my time at Wrestlezone.
When I started penning mediocre bi-weekly opinion pieces back in 2011, I just wanted a place to talk about wrestling. I didn’t ever imagine it would become such a huge part of my life, writing thousands of hours of news, close to a hundred editorials, all the podcasts and radio shows, interviewing dozens of talents, and making incredible friends within, and surrounding this absolutely ridiculous industry.
Special thanks to Chris Cash, who thought I had enough potential to bring on board without hesitation. Boy, were you ever wrong. Thanks to Nick Paglino for giving me an actual job, being an incredible boss, and giving me way too many chances. Justin, thanks for the many words of wisdom over the years, and that one time you bought me deep dish pizza in Chicago. Josh, for being the nicest, most genuine human being working on the fringe of wrestling today. Bill, for your eternal flexibility and commitment to being better than me.
In closing- support good pro wrestling. Whatever that means to you, whether it be WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground, New Japan, PWG, AAA, or the local fed running bingo halls down the street; it’s out there, go find it.
Remember to smile once in awhile, and try not to take every little thing so seriously.
As for me, I’m not going away. As I type this I’m sitting in Chris Cash’s office, about to get on the phone with a few incredibly popular wrestlers to finalize our next project. Trust me, you will want to stay tuned (@MikeKillam on Twitter) to find out what’s next.
Thank you all, so very much.
To infinity, and beyond!
