How do you see the wrestling business, as a whole, in 50 years? Do you think wrestling has that long of a shelf life, considering the huge drops in interest over the years?
Some things will never die, it looks like professional wrestling is on track to be one of those things. The history surrounding wrestling is just as spectacular as wrestling itself – I think WWE will continue to be successful for that reason alone. In terms of ratings, I think they will fluctuate a bit but will remain fairly stable for the most part. Who nows that will happen in 50 years, though. 50 years ago we thought we would be living on Mars by now.
Here’s a thought that I’ve been wondering. what if double j and a couple of their big names from gfw showed up during one of wwe live raws or ppv unexpected and just took over. what would happen and would that give them the momentum they would need to make a name for themselves?
I like the idea of having another invasion angle but it just isn’t going to happen. WWE doesn’t even acknowledge TNA’s existence, why would they for one of their competitors. WWE has had history with Jeff Jarrett, they would not help his company at this point, even more so now because he is going into the TNA HOF.
My favorite wrestlers are, Edge, CM Punk, James Storm, and Rob Van Dam. My question is, where do you rank them as the all time wrestler’s. Do you think all these 4 guys are a hall of famers? Where would you rank Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns, and do you think they could be a hall of famer?
The four that you mentioned are certainly high up on the list. Everyone you mentioned is either in the Hall already or will be in the next few years (Storm, TNA HOF). Also, I think that if Daniel Bryan retired today, he would be inducted into the Hall next year as the main inductee, but it’s just too early to see if Reigns is that kind of calibre.
