Rusev Kicks off Hour Number Two
Rusev comes out by himself and addresses last night. He says that there will be no Lana tonight and there is no Lana. He says she needs to learn her place and that he speaks for himself. He says that he never said “I Quit.” He talks about crushing John Cena and that he passed out in the middle of the ring. He yells for John Cena to come out, but Lana comes out on the stage and heads to the ring.
She tries to speak and he interrupts her. She wanted to explain to everyone that he is not just the Bulgarian Brute and he is misunderstood. She says she believes in him more than anyone else. She says she was trying to protect him and he calls her pathetic and disgusting. She yells enough to him. She reveals that he was screaming “I Quit” in Bulgarian. Rusev says he does not need Lana anymore. She ends up leaving and Rusev screams at her.
Where does she go from here? Lana is at the top of her game. So is Rusev. Both were the best act in WWE for quite some time and WWE is taking a big chance here tonight. It is likely that this is good timing, but I want to see what happens next to Lana. She CANNOT stay off of television too long. Let her try and help Rusev, only for him to lose. Have Rusev hit a rough patch and then Lana try to help, only to cost him time and time again. When will the accent drop? I am excited to see where this goes.
Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose
Bray Wyatt starts off early and often, with some chops, punches, kicks and a body slam. He slows the pace with a head lock, only for Ambrose to battle out. Dean explodes out of the corner and tries to hit a Suicide Dive, but Bray hits a nice suplex from the second rope to the floor as we head to a commercial break.
Both men brawl and make it into the ring before the ten count. They throw punches back and forth and Ambrose connects with some slaps. Ambrose hits a bulldog, but Wyatt gets spilled to the outside. A Suicide Dive to the outside and Dean takes control. Both men counter their finishers, only for Wyatt to counter Dean’s big clothesline. Ambrose finally hits a big clothesline. Wyatt misses a top rope splash and then Dean tries to hit an elbow drop. Bray hits Sister Abigail for the win.
Excellent match between two of the biggest pieces in the future of WWE. There is only one small issue: WWE will continue to utilize cheap wins like this, including outside interferences, to cost a guy who is in a similar spot against another guy in a similar spot. Everyone is .500 in WWE right now. There is no dominant force, which causes a problem in seeing who can be a mega star.
