Another Level of Intensity
Goldust picks up a win against Jimmy Uso in quick fashion. The bigger story of this feud is that Jey has a bandaged knee and looks to be in pain. After a cheap win from the new heels, Jey gets attacked and Stardust hits a chair right onto his knee. Gold and Stardust leave on top.
When will the match be made official? Just announce it already and give them another 2-3 weeks to make a really good feud. I am a big fan of what I am seeing right now from these guys. Jimmy and Jey needed new, fresh, and unique. That is why they are feuding with these guys. Goldust and Stardust need to be unpredictable and aggressive, like we have seen over the past few weeks. I would love to hear another promo from them backstage, but with a darker and more dramatic tone instead of comedic.
John Cena, Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho defeated Seth Rollins, Kane and Randy Orton
Reigns and Orton start off the match. Reigns hits some head butts and some punches into the corner. He unloads with a clothesline and Rollins gets the tag. Rollins gets back into the ring and locks a submission hold onto his former partner. Quick tags and moves gives the heels the edge. Orton tags in Rollins and Jericho comes in. He cleans the ring and hits a dropkick to Kane. He hits a Lionsault and then locks in the Walls of Jericho. Cena gets in the ring and hits an AA onto Kane. Rollins hits a kick from the rope to knock out Cena. Jericho gets kicked in the head by Rollins. Another near fall and we head to break.
Orton continues the assault onto Jericho, throwing him into the steel steps. Rollins hits some chest slaps and punches. He hits a running elbow and tags in Kane. Kane hits a few big chops and then gets hit with a boot. Kane catches him in mid air. Alas, John Cena gets the hot tag and he comes in to take down Kane. Side suplex to Kane, a kick to Rollins and all hell breaks loose. Cena hits a German Suplex onto Rollins and hits an AA to Kane. He tags in Reigns, who hits a spear for the win.
The point was proven… John Cena showed The Authority that he is ready for Brock Lesnar. He finishes the night with an AA to Rollins on the table. John Cena is the right choice for a rematch. Whoever else was to face Brock Lesnar would have gotten squashed and buried further than Cena could ever go. This was a really good main event, showcasing many of their top talents. They hyped next week, which will play up against NFL Monday Night Football. They have to load that show to get even a 2.9 rating.
